Cotton Employers' Associations and Trade Unions

The following sub-series consists mainly of correspondence files relating to the main employers' organisations and cotton trade unions, including the Federation of Master Cotton Spinners' Association (FMCSA), the Amalgamated Weavers' Association, the Cardroom Amalgamation, and the United Textile Factory Workers' Association (UTFWA). There is also material relating to the international body for textile trade unions, the International Federation of Textile Workers' Associations. Some of the correspondence concerns collective bargaining issues and is therefore closely related to files in ACS/6/4 and ACS/6/5.
