Correspondence and papers relating to the work of the interdepartmental committee on medical schools (the Goodenough Committee). The Committee was established in 1944 by the Ministry of Health as part of its planning for post-war health policy. Stopford was a member of the Committee. The file includes correspondence between Stopford and his Committee colleagues and with Ministry of Health officials, and with bodies giving evidence to the Committee including the University's own evidence. There are also draft sections of the Committee's report sent to Stopford for comment.
