Correspondence and papers relating to the evacuation of children of University staff to Canada during the Second World War. Most of the children appear to have been evacuated to Toronto, Ontario, and the file contains material concerning arrangements for their departure from Britain and their living conditions when they arrived in Canada. There is correspondence between the vice-chancellor and the University of Toronto Women's War Service Committee, Sub-Committee for British Overseas Children, which oversaw the scheme. There is also a list of evacuee children.
