Scope and Content

The Communications Office was established in 1970 to handle the University's public and media relations. The head of the Office reported directly to the Vice-Chancellor.

Subjects include recordings of the television quiz Mastermind in the Whitworth Hall, RAI (Italy) filming in the University in 1982, a report on Canadian universities' public relations arrangements, based on a field visit, and the Manchester Evening News supplement on the University, 11 January 1989.
