The records contain a mixture of bound volumes and bundled papers, now boxed up, and seem to relate to the normal range of business undertaken by a solicitor in a small town. There are therefore papers relating to the estates of deceased persons, conveyancing, small businesses and individuals on whose behalf the solicitor was active.
Papers were deposited for inspection before 1985, and were accessioned in 2003.

Applications for permission to quote should be sent to the University Archivist. Reproduction subject to usual conditions: educational use and condition of documents.
A very brief hand list was deposited with the collection but it is not an adequate finding aid. Therefore the collection is, in effect, unlisted.
