Elinor A.Moore was the Librarian of University College, Southampton, during World War I, moving to Jerusalem to teach at the British High School for Girls (later Jerusalem Girls' College) in 1920. She was involved with teaching and relief work in Jerusalem and Amman from this time until her retirement in 1957. She produced three books:
Correspondence, 1920-5, 1948-72; notes, papers, prints and photographs relating to Palestine; autograph and typescript drafts of Miss Moore's published works and photoprints or negatives of related materials.
