Kathleen Chesney (1899-1976) was Principal of Westfield College, University of London, between 1951 and 1962. She had previously been Vice-Principal of St Hilda's College at Oxford, and was made an Honorary Fellow of the College on her departure for Westfield. See
Mary Ethel Seaton (d. 1974) was a Fellow of St. Hugh's College, Oxford, and University Lecturer in English literature between 1938 and 1941. She was an authority on the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
