Ann Thwaite (b 1932), ne Harrop, read English at St. Hilda's College,
Oxford, from 1952 to 1955. She has written numerous children's books, and
biographies.
My Oxford contains recollections of the undergraduate days of: Martin
Amis, Nina Bawden, John Betjeman, Lord Boothby, Alan Coren, Antonia Fraser, Jo
Grimond, Raymond Massey, John Mortimer, Nigel Nicolson, J.I.M. Stewart and Angus Wilson.
