Reverse Captions read, "I took this photograph above Colwyn Bay on January 1st 1953. This being the heaviest snowfall that I have experienced in this district where I have resided since 1948. The sheep came towards me assuming that my camera bag was full of emergency winter rations - and that I was the 'good shepherd'."
