The collection comprises printed works by and about Mallarmé. Some of the volumes contain inscriptions by Mallarmé and Brennan. One volume contains letters to Brennan from Mallarmé, S.C. Leconte, A.W. Verrall and G.C. Toussaint. The collection also includes a volume of Mallarmé's verses written out by Brennan.

The collection was given to the Library by Patrick Alfred Pierce Moran (1917-1988) in 1946.
