Rothholz designed the 'People at Work' section of the Land Travelling Exhibition, which travelled to Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and Nottingham between May and October 1951. The overall theme was "the British people and the things they make and use". The People at Work section highlighted Britain's industrial achievements and engineering skill by focussing on the development of the gas turbine engine by Sir Frank Whittle, and its use in jet propulsion, including the first jet propelled flight, the Gloster Whittle, in 1941. Rothholz certainly attended the Manchester leg of the exhibition though it is not clear about others.
