Administrative / Biographical History

Natalie d'Arbeloff was born in Paris. She lived in France, Italy, South America and the USA and from 1963 in London. She studied at the Art Students' League from 1951 to 1953, at the Instituto Allende in Mexico from 1956 to 1957 and at the Central School of Art (printmaking) in London from 1964 to 1967. She is most well-known as an etcher and creator of artist's books. She set up NdA Press in 1974 to produce limited edition illustrated books, usually written by herself. Originally the Press was based at 6 Cliff Villas, London, but in 1994 it was moved to 6 Lady Somerset Road, London. Natalie d'Arbeloff has taken an active interest in peace movements and other social conscience movements. She has taught and lectured in England and the USA, published articles and cartoons and written three art teaching books. She also has an active role online with her own website and blog. She is a Fellow of the Society of Designer Craftsmen and a member of the Printmakers Council.
