Scope and Content

Attempts were made to sell the drawings to the Victoria & Albert Museum, The British Library, The National Art Collections Fund and to buyers in America. Also proposed sale of volume of Wordsworth poems given to Hon. Mrs Augusta Parker (Paul Nash's Aunt) by Edward Lear, signed by Edward Lear and together with a water colour by Edward Lear (TGA 7050/3269, 3277-8), and value and sale of Paul Nash's 'Flora Londiniensis' by William Curtis to the Royal College of Art (TGA 7050/3274-7). Includes lists of the original designs for 'Urne Buriall and the Garden of Cyrus' with prices (TGA 7050/3276, 3283), and letter from John Carter to James Laver, Victoria & Albert Museum, re possible purchase of 'Urne Buriall' by the National Art Collections Fund (TGA 7050/3280).
