Correspondence between Margaret Nash and Desmond Flower, Director, Cassell & Co. Cassell & Co. published Sir Thomas Browne's 'Urne Buriall and the Garden of Cyrus' in 1932, illustrated with thirty drawings by Paul Nash. Margaret Nash contacted Cassell, wishing to obtain the loose plates of the publication to be bound by herself for gifts to her friends. Subsequent correspondence concerns the binding of these plates (TGA 7050/2061, 2065-66, 2069, 2070); obtaining printing blocks for the binding (the blocks were unavailable, being used for Rex Nan Kivell's purchase of 'Urne Buriall', TGA 7050/2065, 2067); placing original drawings and coloured collotypes for 'Urne Buriall' in a public collection (eventually Birmingham City Art Gallery, TGA 7050/2073-76); and in particular highlights Margaret's poor financial state (TGA 7050/2060, 2069, 2071, 2073). Also mentions the sales figures for 'Urne Buriall' (TGA 7050/2063), the Tate Memorial Exhibition (TGA 7050/2064), and further Nash exhibitions (TGA 7050/2069). Includes letter from Desmond Flower to John (Carter), Editor of 'Urne Buriall', regarding original drawings and coloured collotypes.
