- A. News From Afar [London Missionary Society] (Jan 1924), pp.1-15, containing article ‘Ways of Travelling’ (p.9) by Mervyn L Peake about different modes of transport in China, written at the age of 12.
- B. Cuttings of poems by Peake published in various periodicals (most pasted onto loose album pages), with captions in Peake's hand, dating from 1937 to 1941 ('Rhondda Valley', 'Poplar', 'The Meeting at Dawn', 'Autumn', 'Spring', 'El Greco', 'Watch, Here and Now...', 'Au Moulin Joyeux', 'I Burgled Beauty in the Night', 'The Crystal', 'Coloured Money', 'The Metal Bird', 'The Two Fraternities', 'The Cocky Walkers', 'Sing The Fickle Fit-for-Nothing Fellows' and 'Overture').
