The first page bears the inscription 'Account current between the Churchwardens and the Vicar for Books purchased by the latter for the Library of H.T. Church fron AD 1798'. The accounts provide details of items ordered/purchased each year giving the title and cost for some specific titles but not for every single one and records of payments received towards the cost of book purchases from the churchwardens.
