Correspondence of Harry Kemp

Scope and Content

Harry Kemp had been associated with Graves and Laura Riding before the war; although his correspondence refers to Riding on occasion, in the main it is poetry which he discusses in his letters to Graves. The letters often enclosed copies of his poems; these have become detached and the survivors have been placed in a bundle at the end of the series. The series also includes correspondence with Beryl Graves, one letter to Alan Hodge, prose pieces and press cuttings of Kemp's obituaries.

Arrangement

Correspondence has been arranged in chronological order by recipient; other material has been placed at the end of the series.
