This collection contains a large number of music scores by John Wright, including Hesperus Songs (1973), Phaedra (1961), a number of string quartets, and some ballet scores. There are ephemera items such as programmes, and correspondence - particularly with Alan Denson, the bibliographer. There are also notes and working copies of his texts 'Just As It Happened: A Composer's Story, 1911 to 1947' (1992), and 'Music and the Artistic Temperament'.
