Blue folder inscribed 'Bedford P.T. College 1945-1948' containing photocopies of 56 photographs selected by Biddy Freda Burgum and Sheila Marjorie Green of Set XLIV. All photographs are captioned with some staff and students identified. The original photographs of several of the images can be found in PH1/33.
The images show students of Set XLIV; views of College houses in Lansdowne Road, the Big Lecture Room, medical room (remedial gymnasium), gymnasium, a remedial clinic held in one of the College gardens, the indoor Bedford Girls' Modern School Baths, and Barbara's Bun Shop, Bedford; students enjoying the snow and skating at Goldington Green during February 1947; hockey, netball and tennis teams; scenes from the Midland Counties Hockey Tournament in Ramsgate 1948 and the Bedford Counties Tournament; scenes from rehearsals for gymnastic displays at various events and of a Physical Training Display at Cardington Road Sports Ground in 1947; scenes from a camping course at Box End, Bedfordshire attended by 3rd-year students. The course was run for the College by staff from the Central Council of Physical Recreation.
