Kenneth Holmes (1902-1994)

Administrative / Biographical History

Kenneth Holmes studied at the Leeds College of Art and Royal College of Art before entering teaching. After graduating from the Royal College he practised his artwork in Europe, most extensively in Italy. He joined the Leicester College of Art as Principal in 1934, retiring in 1956 to work as a design consultant.

The portrait was made by Albert Pountney, Head of the Department of Sculpture.
