A.L.s., from Charles Bromhead, Thurlby Hall

Scope and Content

Is very grateful for the assistance JWW has provided with drawing up an inventory of the rooms CB is to have in College the following term. Gives instructions as to what his gyp should do to prepare the room and instructions as to a few minor repairs to be carried out. Asks how a memoir by his brother Edward has been received. Asks for news on acquaintances, especially concerning their scholarly progress. Mentions that his brother is 'quartered with his regiment at Huddersfield to keep the rioters in order' and notes that they have managed to fit it some socializing whilst there. Also notes that his brother thought Wellington reminded him of Caesar during the battle of Waterloo and gives a description of his brother's march to Paris with Wellington.
