Administrative / Biographical History
Graham Finlayson began his career with the Southampton Echo, moving to the Daily Mail after national service with the RAF. He joined the Guardian in 1959 where he worked for 5 years. Here he was sent abroad on assignments to Borneo, Nigeria and Indonesia. Finlayson went freelance in 1964 and photographed everything from architecture, industry, fashion, sport and travel.
