Administrative / Biographical History
Malcolm Ogilvie & Co. Ltd was active in the textile industry from at least 1851. Originally based in Constable Works, Dura Street, in 1970 the company moved to the old Dundee Linen Works in Constitution Street, renaming the factory to the 'Constable Works'. Malcolm Ogilvie & Co. Ltd was one of the last companies to be engaged in jute spinning in Dundee.
Currently, the firm casts bronze alloys and in manufactures insulating glass panels, optical lenses and steel catering equipment.
