Administrative / Biographical History

Alexander Thomas Arthur Gourlay was born around c1887  , and was a medical student at the University of Glasgow from 1902-1908  . In his first year, 1902-1903, he studied Chemistry, Zoology and Anatomy and in the next academic session he took Chemistry and Laboratory. In his third year he took Anatomy, Medicine, Physiology and Practical Anatomy, whilst in his fourth year, 1905-1906, he studied Infirmary and Practical Anatomy. In the next academic session 1906-1907, he took Surgery, Midwifery and Pathology and for his final year he studied Medicine. He graduated M B in 1908  .
