Scope and Content

Series of letters from Dr Alan Orr Anderson to William J. Watson. The letters largely form a discussion on the origins of the Northern race, the origins of Scottish place names, and the origins of Gaelic words. Discussion is also made of vol ii of the publicationEarly sources of Scottish history, A.D. 500 to 1286, collected and translated by Alan Orr Anderson (Edinburgh, 1922).

Also included are a series of genealogical charts of early medieval Scottish kings and Lords.
