Ledgers of Griffith Williams, ironmonger

Scope and Content

2 ledgers, 1838-1846 and 1853-1873, which reflect the diverse business activities of Griffith Williams together with accounts of expenses entailed in renovating cottages which he had purchased in Rosemary Lane, Conwy, together with rents received from tenants thereof.

The later item also contains the accounts of Mrs R. G. Williams,1909-1911.

Administrative / Biographical History

Griffith Williams was a plumber, glazier, painter, paperhanger, dealer in all kinds of ironmongery and general tinplate worker who conducted his business from 13 Castle Street, Conwy, north Wales.

Mrs R. G. Williams, milliner of Granville House, Penmaen-mawr was the wife of R. G. Williams, grandson of the aforementioned Griffith Williams.
