Administrative / Biographical History

Anthony Conran, born in 1931, was a poet, critic and translator of Welsh poetry into English. He received his education at the University College of North Wales and later became a Research Fellow and Tutor at the Department of English in Bangor. Amongst his best known work are his Penguin Book of Welsh Verse, 1967 and The Cost of Strangeness, 1982.
