EXAMINATION AND DEPOSITION: Owen Hughes of Nanner, parish Llanrhwydrys, farmer and William Williams Jones of Llanfechell, police constable dec'd, in the case v. John Hughes accused of stealing 300lbs of iron, property of O.H. Deponent O.H. states that he had a shed on the shore at Cemlyn constructed of sheets of iron from the wreck of the Olinda. He missed one sheet and saw cart tracks leading to the accused's rick yard. The accused is represented by a solicitor who cross-examines the deponents and has sections of their evidence struck from the record as inadmissible. Under cross-examination deponent W.W.J. says he received an anonymous letter in connection with the case.
