NOTE: Election of poor men to the almshouses. The note explains that the governors and feoffees, or three of them are to choose poor and honest persons of more than 50 years, two of them women, from the parishes of Penmynydd, Esgeifiog, Pentraeth and Llanffinan. But the note also states that it does not seem to be the original intention to admit women and this has been subject of appeal to the justices of Great Sessions who were made visitors by the deed of foeffment. Extracted from Orders and directions (see above).
