Scope and Content

LETTER: Mrs Yale, Gorphwysfa, Bath to Corbet. She writes that she had expected he would have returned to England by now to help her. She informs him that she intends to go to Yale to arrange the sale of her personal effects and she is going with dread as she will be seeing her home for 46 years for the last time. However her loss is his gain and she wishes him all happiness for the future.

Also:

REPLY: Wm. Corbet Jones Parry, Versailles, to Mrs Yale dated July 12. He explains that he had not returned to England for the funeral because through some mistake he had not heard of his uncle's death until too late. He then thought that as he had never visited Yale in his uncle's life-time it would be better if he allowed some time to elapse before making a personal inspection of his property.
