Scope and Content

LETTER: H. Lloyd Carter, Undersheriff of co. Carns and clerk to the Caernarvon Justices to the Lord Lieutenant of Anglesey. He says that Mr Roberts will be leaving Trefarthen with a consequent shortage of magistrates in the area between Llanfair P. G and Newborough. In view of this he wishes to recommend Mr J. H. Griffith, Clynnog, Llangeinwen, who he feels would be an excellent replacement. J. H. G's rent roll from freehold land in Anglesey is at least £600 a year; he is a strong churchman and Conservative and his character is exemplary. He hopes sincerely that J. H. G's name may be placed upon the Commission.

Endorsed.

NOTE: R. H. W. B to Clerk to the Lieutenancy for filing.
