LETTER: Hugh Jones, Church Bank, Beaumaris to Rev. James Williams, Llanfairynghornwy. It seems the Penmonians are grumbling because they may not receive anything for going to the assistance of two vessels that got on the causeway between the perch and Puffin Island and were both wrecked. The crews got to Puffin Island in their own boats although the lifeboat was ready to assist. The crew lost part of their day's wages. The Penmon boat needs painting. He is sorry he cannot be at the meeting.
