Administrative / Biographical History
Owen Henry Jones (b. 1921) was a native of Caernarfon, Caernarfonshire. He attended the Boys' Council School, Caernarfon, and was a member of Capel Moriah Calvinistic Methodist Church. During the Second World War he served with the Army in India and Burma with the rank of Sergeant. He was subsequently employed in the Clerk's Department of Caernarfonshire County Council, in due course becoming Chief Clerk to the Council until its abolition in 1974.
