Administrative / Biographical History

Zonia Bowen started the national movement Merched y Wawr and the magazine Y Wawr in 1967. It is a Welsh-speaking society for women, with over 250 local branches, grouped into rhanbarthau (regions). Branches in Caernarfonshire were coordinated by Rhanbarth Arfon.
