Administrative / Biographical History

Dr David Nichol Physician, M.D., M.R.C. was born in Scotland. He married Elizabeth Farr and had seven children. His oldest children, David, Mary Bruce and John Templeton drew some of the diagrams listed below. He was a member of the Royal Institution of South Wales and presented many lectures on a variety of subjects. It was David Nichol that came to own and deposit the Contract of Affiance between Edward of Caernarvon, Prince of Wales and Isabella, daughter of Philip the Fair, King of France, 1303 (RISW DN 33)
