Administrative / Biographical History

Swansea Borough Petty Sessions began with magistrates exercising jurisdiction over the Borough of Swansea. In 1974 the area was merged with the Gower Division to form a new Swansea division, coterminous with Swansea City, with courts in Swansea. In 1996 this was merged with Lliw Valley division.
