These record the religious denomination of inmates. They are arranged alphabetically by surname. New registers were started periodically, and entries relating to inmates who were still in the institution would be transferred to the new register. The dates given below are the dates of compilation of the registers, so that they will include some entries for individuals who were first admitted to the institution a number of years before
