Copies of newspaper articles relating to coal mining in south Wales and throughout the United Kingdom.

Includes copies of:

'What the papers say', issued by British Coal, Press Office, Hobart House, London, containing articles concerning coal mining throughout the whole of the United Kingdom; and

'Newsview', Press Summaries containing articles concerning the British Coal, South Wales Group.

Also includes: amendments made to 'Guide to the Coalfields', listing management personnel for the 1991 edition; memoranda concerning British Coal public relation strategy; public relations responses to letters/events; and press releases.
