Administrative / Biographical History

Ye Olde Cardiff Bazaar was established in 1920 as a means to raise money for the Canton circuit Wesleyan Churches' Circuit Extention Fund. The Bazaar itself was held on November 22-24 1921 in City Hall, with stalls hosted by the various churches comprising the Canton Circuit: Conway Road Church; Clare Gardens Church; Grangetown Church and Victoria Park Church. The Bazaar also included evening entertainment and a hall of amusements. The brochure comprises a programme for the bazaar, listing contibutors, stalls and times of opening ceremonies. It also includes a brief history of Cardiff illustrated with photographs of the city, and advertisements for local businesses sponsoring the bazaar.
