David Yale (1676-1763) of Plas-yn-Ial, Denbighshire, left one surviving son, John Yale (1716-1789) who married Frances, daughter of John Jones of Llwyn Onn. Their son, the Rev. John Yale, died unmarried in 1800 and was succeeded by his sister, Sarah Yale, who died unmarried in 1821. By Sarah's will Plas-yn-Ial was entailed on William Parry Jones-Parry (d. 1867), younger son of Thomas Parry Jones-Parry of Llwyn Onn in Denbighshire, and Madryn in Caernarfonshire. William (d. 1867) assumed the name of Yale on succeeding to the Plas-yn-Ial estate. On William's death without issue, the estate passed to his nephew, William Corbet (1825-1909), who assumed the additional surname of Yale on succeeding to the Plas-yn-Ial estate, and also succeeded to the Madryn estate after the death of Sir Thomas Love-Jones-Parry, and his sister, assuming the additional surname of Jones-Parry.
