H Darwent was born at Glossop, co. Derby and married Elizabeth Richard at Pulford in 1920. The family lived in Overdale, Marford Hill. Darwent was in business as a medical herbalist at Bridge Street, Wrexham. The collection includes correspondence, photographs and newspaper cuttings.
