Scope and Content

Glyndwr District Council was established in 1974 as one of the districts of the new county of Clwyd, covering Denbigh, Ruthin, Llangollen urban district, and Ceirog and Edeyrnion Rural Districts, and part of Wrexham Rural District; it was abolished after local government reorganisation in 1996, being absorbed into Denbighshire County Council (parts were also taken into Powys and Wrexham).
