Recto: embossed with bust of Shakespeare; 'William Shakespeare' inscribed underneath the bust.
Verso: inscribed as follows: 'Struck by the Shakespeare Memorial Committee at "Shakespeare's England", 1616-1916, the recipient's name, Her Royal Highness Princess Henry of Battenberg, is inscribed in the book of The World's Tribute to Shakespeare, MIMXII'.
