Scope and Content

Minute Books marked "A" are auditor's copies. These were signed by the Chairman of the County Council at each meeting and have been produced for the District Auditor. They must be considered, where they survive, as the archive copy. Duplicate copies (1892-6) are also held.

Access Information

Some items access restricted - contain personal and sensitive personal information. Examples include: FC/1/38 - Contains reports on orphans in the workhouse and gives full name and address of person to whom they were fostered out (p.587); FC/1/40 - Contains names and addresses of foster parents for boarded out children, with children's names (p.1728); FC/1/46 - Contains names and districts of mental asylum patients, also names of workhouse admissions; FC/1/64 - Contains full names and addresses of depositors giving records to the Record Office.
