John Peck to Sir John Trevor, MP (Cannon Row, Westminster): had made an agreement for a 21 year lease of Hafod y weddgar with Mr Chrichley but 'when the sack had settled and he slept upon it he would by no means accept of it' but he eventually agreed to hold it for 3 years longer; asks for news about the petition sent up; Mrs Edisbury's mother, Mrs Alldin, is dead; 'you might do well to get a discharge from the Commissioners to discharge the Committee in North Wales for meddling with Hawarden park for they have long since resolved to kill a deer in the park and I believe they intend it upon Tuesday next the which if they do I intend to go along with them that I may the better without suspicion view the timber and land'; 'I gave the parties that surveyed the wood and timber in Hawarden park 6d in good ale and 10s in money besides good words and shaking of them by the hand'.
