Thomas Crewe (Trevalyn) to Sir John Trevor (Cannon Row, Westminster): sends an account for the transport of a bed from London via Chester, the R. Dee and Bretton to Plas Newydd; 'Mr Richard Yonge of Brynyorkin, Peter Roberts and David Lloyd got a process out from the Bishop's court to call all men that claims any title to 13ft in length and 4½ft in breadth of the south side of the Hope Church and 3ft in length and 7ft in breadth of the north side the church which they held to be common to appear at St Asaph the 18th day of this instant May [1636]' but writer knowing that some of this area belonged to lands which his old master had bought thought fit to stay the proceedings and got a proctor to speak on recipient's behalf; the Chancellor agreed his rights should be preserved; these lands were bought from Mr Davies of Gwysaney who had bought them from David John Robert but writer is unsure if the seats were included; Richard Langford wishes to sell 2 fields and a cottage; Sir Richard is in mind to sell all the timber in Chirk as he is building an almshouse by the chapel for six paupers and is buying timber from Baron Trevor.
