Scope and Content

Comprises photographs and negatives deriving from Eric Charles Hayes's participation in the Allied Intervention in Siberia, his period of imprisonment with Brian Horrocks and others in Siberia and Moscow, and his return to Britain, 1919-1920; also, photographs of Hayes, 1920s and n.d., of a country road building scene, n.d., of a Foreign Military Delegation at manoeuvres in Belorussia, 1936, and of a War Office Delegation to Romania, 1937; together with reproductions of paintings in the Tret'iakov Gallery, Moscow, Hayes's curriculum vitae, letters from Brian Horrocks, Alfred Knox and others, a cutting of the Siberian chapter of Horrocks' memoirs from The Sunday Times, and the cover of his A Full Life, Russian bond certificates, and dolls in Russian dress
