Administrative / Biographical History

H.S. Thuillier was born at Murree in the Punjab region of India. As a Lieutenant Colonel, Royal Artillery, he was commissioned from Royal Military Academy, February 1915, joined 10th Heavy Battery, and trained in Ireland as part of 10th Division. He landed at Anzac Cove, Gallipoli, July 1915. In 1916 he was posted to 26th Jacobs Mountain Battery under Major K.G. Campbell, and from 1916-1920 was in Mesopotamia. He served in India from 1930, also in the Second World War, and, at some time, with the Royal Canadian Artillery.
