Scrapbook of the Williams family of Ty Isa Street, Llandudno

Scope and Content

This scrapbook contains newspaper cuttings from both local, regional and national newspapers on Llandudno lifeboats and lifeboat service matters generally. Amongst other things, it includes a fragmentary typed chronological list of Llandudno lifeboats and rescues performed by them. This may appear, in part at least, elsewhere in the album as a newspaper report.

It also contains a quantity of photographs, both family and lifeboat related including one of a submarine in Red Wharf Bay. Other photographs include a view of a house in Trevor Street, John Williams and his family, members of the lifeboat crew etc. Unfortunately none of the many people in the photographs have been named.

[Some photographs appear to have been removed at an earlier date; all of those found loose in the album have been placed in archival media in the front of the album.]

Administrative / Biographical History

John Williams was one of the members of the first lifeboat crew who served in Llanduno.
