Scope and Content

Staff of Ratcliffe Engineering, later the Hotpoint Factory, Llandudno Junction.

The donor's father, Daniel Jones of Flint, worked in the spinning room at the Courtaulds Rayon factory at Flint. During the Second World War he was seconded to the Hotpoint Factory which had been taken over for [aircraft production of Halifax bombers] as part of the war effort. He lodged in no. 19 Berry Street, Conwy with Mr and Mrs Craven, whose daughters also worked in the factory and who may be included in the photographs.
